NEVER GIVE UP

[Galatians 6:9]
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Life has us in different seasons each year. You're either going through a trial, getting out of a trial, or about to go into one. No season is ever exactly alike, but the principles for getting through each are all the same. No matter what season you are in, you can come out of it stronger if you:

  • SEEK GOD. Spend time in His word. [Matthew 6:33]
  • TRUST GOD. Don't let fear and doubt confuse you. [Proverbs 3:5-6]
  • SERVE GOD. Make your words and actions point others to Jesus. [1Samuel 12:24]

These three principles will carry you through any storm or trial, any season of life. May we never get too comfortable and start trusting ourselves. May we never be too distracted that we start serving our own desires. May our faith never dwindle to the point where we are looking to other things to satisfy and support us--money, romance, emotions, rewards, recognition, security, entertainment.

May we never grow tired of seeking God, trusting God, and serving God. May we never grow tired of doing the right thing. You WILL reap blessings if you do not give up. This is a promise, and God is not a man that He should lie.

When you are tired, pray. Pray specifically. Most importantly, pray scripture over yourself. Why? Because "the Word of God is living and active" [Hebrews 4:12]. It is the sword you use to fight the darkness [Ephesians 6:17].

Lord, I pray that we will NEVER grow tired of doing the right thing. I pray we will continue to seek You by reading Your Word. May we always trust in You as we pray in faith. May we find joy and deep satisfaction in serving You and bringing glory to Your name. We ask in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

May we face each day with faith, not fear. May we rise to the call of boldness, and not cower in the corner of complacency.

So powerful. I have felt I wanted to give up many times, on myself, on my marriage, on my kids. This spoke to me. God does not waste pain, and the pain I have felt all these years only has made me stronger. Thank you!
